Brent Crothers:
Searching for a History

Harford County sculptor Brent Crothers passed away in 2020. This exhibition honors his creative process, use of unappreciated materials, and environmental advocacy. His relationships to the materials he collected were as important as the work he made. In transforming the context of recognizable objects, Brent posed questions about the environment and the choices we make, particularly as consumers.
The Brent Crothers Creativity Enhancement Grant was established at Harford Community College in 2020. This annual award supports artistic experimentation, a new project, or materials toward a project. Please consider a donation.
